IMPORTANT
We'll be on TEAMSPEAK tonight (Wed June 25th) for a quick discussion on what everyone is doing/bringing for the trip. If your going, try to stop in and say "Hey" so we can organize this thing as best as possible.
Candy, AKA Festers wife wont be making the trek up north this year, so its just the fellas. Which means you probably wont have the creature comforts of things like "The Butter Butler" or special mashed potatoes with 3 cheeses and herbs and all that and so on, that we have all become used to lol (spoiled  ). As far as I know, we wont be as much in the middle of nowhere this time which should make buying shit alot easier once we get up there. ANYWAY, if you can jump on TS tonight, by all means do. Peace.

What a long strange trip its been...

Well, its been a long time since anything has happened online with TA. I'd love to say hey lets shake off the dust and do it again, but I just dont have it in me. At least not now. I guess I just figured i'd put a little closure to TA as a "clan" for now, not that it hasnt been done for over a year now lol.
I was sitting here looking at some of our old websites on the web archives, and looking at how many people played with us over the years and i'd have to say we've seen a whole lot of people come and go. I often wonder how alot of those dudes are doing. We've had alot of cool people come through over the years. However they left, be it good or bad, we had to of liked something about em to want to hang with them. I called a majority of them friends, and had great times with all of them at one point or another. EVERYONE.
I've been through alot with TA. Got married, bought a house, had a kid, began and climbed through my career (and still am lol)...hell, I grew up in TA in a way. I know alot of members thought, it was just another clan, and those are the ones who didnt hang long. But to those who saw the big picture and appreciated what we were trying to do, it was well worth it. From the all nighters back in the day, to the days when people were fighting to get into a match, to the camping trips (which are never going to end hopefully), it was just an overall great ride and I wanted to thank everyone who was ever a part of TA, TMT, DMT, and TM over the years.
The site is staying up, as there are still a small handful of us that use it. It would be great if some of the old members would stop in and say hello and let us know they are alive. I hold no grudges towards anyone. I still game, and have been playing Team Fortress 2, Frontlines Beta, BioShock, Desert Conflict Mod for BF2 and very little CS:S. My name is Blackrock on Steam and XFire.
TA is down, for how long who knows, but we're not out.
Who knows, Frontlines is coming out in the near future. The beta kicks ass.
Fink Fester and Dirty, I especially want to thank you for just being straight up friends. If you guys are intrested in possibly joining another team this winter when we have more time, lets do something! I'm game.
To all 200+ people who have come and gone over the years, thank you for letting myself and TA be a small part in your lives. I wish you all the best of luck!

TA Summer Getaway Happens July 13, 14, 15th

Its that time again. The day is set. We'll be camping out again this year at the same spot as last year, at Mongaup Pond Campground.

Beta Released (Limited)

Well it looks like the beta was released to a limited number of subscribers to Fileplanet. Theres alot of pissed off people on the FP forums today. Seems only 100 keys were released to Fileplanet subscribers, while 500 were given away FREE to PlanetBattlefield members, who are not subscribers. Fileplanet advertised this as a subscriber exclusive, even thwarting people into signing up for thier subscription just for this, only to be put on the backburner. While everyone understands that eventually they will get thier chance, FP dropped the ball on this one by not explaining how things were going to work, or at the least, taking care of thier longtime subscribers.
So hang tight people who dont have thier beta keys yet.

Battlefield 1.4 Patch delayed

Looks like the 1.4 patch has been delayed. This would probably mean that the BF2142 beta will be delayed just as long, but thats just my opinion.

It was only a couple of years ago, when Linka turned me onto the Battlefield 1942 demo, and we went on to become a BF team. And Linka went on to create the best mod (in my opinion) ever created for any game, Desert Combat. We played DC until BF2 came out, which as we all know, didnt last very long.
The team (Trauma Studios) that created Desert Combat are now KAOS studios. They are now working on a new game due out next year called Frontline. Check out the site, give em some props, and stay tuned. These guys provided alot of us with MANY hours of good gaming, and i'm expecting nothing less then a kickass game from these guys.
